About the Role
We require two Emergency Department Registrars – Women’s Health for a 6‑month full‑time, fixed‑term position. Vacancies are available for the following periods:
- Feb2027–Aug2027
- Aug2027–Feb2028
Accredited Extended Skills post for FRACGP training as part of the AGPT (Adult General Practice Training) program.
Based at Mercy Hospital for Women Emergency Department, Heidelberg.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide care to women presenting with obstetric and gynecological (O&G;) conditions in a Women’s Health Emergency Department.
- Manage early pregnancy care and perform early pregnancy ultrasound; has prospect to complete a qualification in point‑of‑care ultrasound.
- Deliver competent clinical care, attend multidisciplinary team meetings, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Adhere to the Australian Medical Association (Victoria) Hospital Medical Officer Certified Agreement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Current registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Experience in Emergency or Women’s Health Care.
- Updated clinical and theoretical knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Additional Requirements
- Evidence of (or in process of obtaining) a current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
- Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccinations consistent with public health orders.
