The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Assistant Accountant/Accounts Payable professional to join a rapidly growing and highly successful business based on the Northern Beaches. This role suits someone who enjoys a mix of transactional AP work and broader accounting exposure, while being part of a close-knit and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

- End-to-end Accounts Payable processing
- Invoice processing, coding and batching
- Managing supplier queries and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
- Processing payment runs
- Downloading and reconciling bank statements
- Vendor account reconciliations and creditor statement reconciliations
- Processing staff expense reimbursements and corporate credit card transactions
- Assisting with month-end close, journals and reporting requirements
- Supporting balance sheet reconciliations and other ad hoc accounting tasks
- Managing the Accounts Payable inbox and responding to phone enquiries
- Supporting the wider finance team where required

About you:

- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Assistant Accountant position
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- A proactive, team-first attitude and willingness to assist where needed
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Resilience, adaptability and wants to join a fun team!
- Experience using Xero/Myob will be highly regarded, though not essential.
