About Australian Meat Industry Council

The Australian Meat Industry Council (AMIC) isthe peak body representing meat retailers, wholesalers, processors, exporters, and smallgoods manufacturers across the country. Our industry is one of the largest manufacturers and employers in Australia today.

We exist for one transparent reason: to advance a profitable, trusted and sustainable meat industry.

Why Join AMIC?

This isn't a desk job with a membership database attached — it's an opportunity to be the custodian of AMIC's relationship with its SME members in Victoria, and to champion their interests.

You'll own your patch end-to-end: building genuine relationships with SME owner-operators, opening doors to nationally recognised experts in food safety, animal welfare, workforce policy, marketing and trade, and making sure no member ever has to navigate the industry alone. Your industry knowledge won't just be respected here — it's the job.

Working with a small, dynamic and experienced team, you'll work proactively to engage with members, identify opportunities for business extension and capability uplift, and leverage your commercial acumen to think creatively about value creation and member engagement.

You will see the direct impact of your work in businesses that grow, members that stay, and an industry voice that gets sharper because of the insights you bring back. If you're energised by backing the people behind Australian red meat — and thrive in autonomous roles— we encourage you to apply.
