An incredible opportunity is available for a qualified chef to join our establishment. Our hotel is home to a fabulous international buffet, a function room for both private and corporate needs, and a fully stocked drive-thru bottle shop.

We are seeking a full time Chef to join our team in providing the best dining experience for our patrons by delivering our menu full of pub favourites including many Mediterranean and Asian dishes. This role is working evenings for our dinner service, which includes weekends and public holiday availability is crucial.

You will be responsible for:

- Cooking contemporary style dishes in accordance with the menu.
- Planning and development of menu in collaboration with Head Chef.
- Manage budgets including working with suppliers to select quality produce, planning recipes and managing operational staff and supplier costs.
- Discussing food preparation methods with kitchen staff, wait staff and managers.
- Ensuring a high standard of quality of dishes prepared and presented to our patrons.
- Preservation of food.
- Uphold, enforce and adhere to hygiene standards at all times.



This includes training staff members on Food Safety regulations.
- Work with management and existing kitchen staff on dishes preparation and execution including recipes, issues or challenges on staff management, recruitment and retention.
- Work and educate kitchen staff on dishes techniques, preparation procedures and storage.

Skills and Qualifications needed for the role.

- Diploma in a relevant field and two years of experience post-qualification or at least 5 years of experience in the relevant position
- Great skills in presentation and display of the menu we offer.
- Ability to work in collaboration with management but work autonomously when required.
- Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills
- Good understanding of stock control and ordering
- Passion and love for food and cooking
- Ability to follow instructions and ensure strict dietary requirements are adhered to.
- Maintain a clean and tidy workspace.
