Southern Cross Care is seeking 2 dedicated Registered Nurses (RN) to join our night care teams at Sandpiper Lodge in Goolwa or McCracken Views in Victor Harbor.

Shift Schedule and Locations

- 2 Permanent Part-Time positions offering stability.
- Roster: Mondays 23:24 – 07:30 (2 positions – Sandpiper Lodge and McCracken Views).
- Roster: Tuesdays 23:24 – 07:30 (2 positions – Sandpiper Lodge and McCracken Views).
- Roster: Wednesdays 23:24 – 07:30 (1 position – Sandpiper Lodge).

About the Role

As a Night Shift Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality clinical care, lead the night care and support teams,



and ensure the safety and well-being of residents during the night.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide holistic leadership and guidance to the night care team each shift.
- Deliver safe, high-quality, and person-centred clinical services tailored to residents' needs.
- Assess and review residents' health status, monitor wellbeing, and respond effectively to clinical changes overnight.
- Supervise staff in daily living and clinical care routines, ensuring a secure and peaceful environment.
- Maintain strict adherence to workplace health and safety policies and apply AN-ACC principles where required.

About You / Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing with current, unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Certifications: Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009).
- Experience: Previous RN experience in an Aged Care environment with knowledge of Aged Care Standards related to accreditation.
- Clinical Expertise: Strong contemporary clinical knowledge including aged care medications and dementia care; ability to support residents with challenging behaviours.
- Skills: Excellent problem-solving, time management, and the ability to lead night staff confidently.
- Communication: Strong English literacy for explicit progress notes and compassionate communication.
