Overview

Mechanical Engineer – Industrial, based in Brisbane, working with our Industrial team to deliver infrastructure and assets that strengthen communities and create a sustainable future.

Responsibilities

- Undertake detailed engineering design, preparing auditable calculations, computer models, 3D models and construction drawings.
- Plan, lead and oversee work, including preparation of design calculations, 3D models and construction drawings.
- Coach and mentor team members to grow the technical capability of the team.
- Conduct engineering investigations and analysis, preparing deliverables such as drawings, reports, mechanical equipment specifications and data sheets.
- Visit client sites for facility and equipment inspections, project meetings, scoping, installation and commissioning support.
- Apply problem‑solving skills and creativity to develop high‑value solutions.
- Contribute to proposals, engineering estimates and capital cost estimates.
- Apply Secure Design and Value Engineering principles in all daily activities.

Qualifications





- Relevant Mechanical Engineering qualifications and actively working towards RPEQ status.
- Experience with bulk materials handling systems and equipment, including conveyors, chutes, reclaimers and loading facilities, and knowledge of relevant mining and manufacturing standards.
- Working knowledge of engineering software such as Sidewinder, BeltAnalyst, Ansys Rocky, programming/scripting (Python, VBA, MATLAB), 3D modelling (Inventor or Fusion), Excel (advanced).
- Experience in applying project principles and methodology to manage projects and achieve program outcomes.
- Strong written communication skills to articulate technical decisions with due justification.
