Australian IT Group is a growing technology company dedicated to delivering reliable IT solutions and exceptional service to businesses across Australia. As our team continues to grow, we are looking for a passionate and energetic People & Culture Manager to help support our people and strengthen the culture that drives our business forward.

This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about building a positive workplaceculture, supporting employees, and ensuring strong HR systems, policies and processes are in place as the business continues to expand.

You will work closely with leadership and be responsible for the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to performance management, engagement initiatives and employment compliance.

This position is part-time (3 days per week). As Australian IT Group continues to grow, there may be the opportunity for this role to transition into a full-time position in the future.

Key Responsibilities

People & Culture

- Drive a positive, high-performing workplace culture
- Develop initiatives that improve employee engagement, morale and team energy
- Act as a trusted point of contact for staff across people-related matters
- Assist staff in building career pathways within Australian IT Group

Recruitment & Onboarding

- Manage recruitment processes for new team members
- Design and deliver structured onboarding programs to ensure new employees are set up for success
- Support managers throughout the hiring process

Employee Lifecycle Management

- Manage performance management processes
- Support managers with employee development and feedback conversations




- Handle employee relations matters including conflict resolution, investigations and terminations where required

HR Policies & Compliance

- Develop and maintain employment policies, procedures and HR documentation
- Ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation and workplace requirements
- Maintain employment records and HR systems

Process & Systems

- Build and improve HR systems, processes and documentation
- Create scalable people processes that support business growth
- Identify opportunities to improve the overall employee experience

About You

We are looking for someone who brings great energy, professionalism and strong people skills to the role.

You will likely have:

- Previous experience in HR, People & Culture, or People Operations
- Strong understanding of Australian employment law and HR practices
- Experience handling employee relations and performance management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and positive approach to problem solving
- The ability to build trust with both staff and leadership
- Solid organisational and process development skills

Experience working in an IT or technology business would be advantageous, however it is not essential for the right candidate.

Most importantly, you care about people, culture and helping teams perform at their best.
