Queensland X-Ray is seeking a full-time Nursing Operations Coordinator to support the Nursing Operations Manager. This dynamic role serves as the primary operational link between frontline nursing staff, Nurse Unit Managers, and senior leadership, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and the delivery of high-quality patient care across the Brisbane region.

In This Role, You Will

- Coordinate day-to-day nursing operations across Brisbane Metro sites, including Mater Public, Mater Private, Greenslopes, and QEII.
- Assist in managing workforce allocation, staffing coverage, Kronos enquiries, and roster contingencies to support safe and efficient service delivery.
- Provide operational support and guidance to Nurse Unit Managers, assisting with workforce planning, service delivery challenges, and escalation management.
- Represent Nursing Operations on the Clinical Standards Committee, contributing to clinical governance, quality improvement, risk management, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Support the education, onboarding, and ongoing professional development of nursing staff, promoting safe, consistent, and evidence-based clinical practice.
- Provide leadership support during periods of Nursing Operations Manager leave or absence, including supporting regional operations.

About You

Requirements

Registration: Full, unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.

Experience

Minimum four years' experience as a Clinical Nurse (or higher classification), with demonstrated experience in nursing operations, clinical coordination, or leadership roles.

Clinical Skills

Demonstrated competency in peripheral intravenous cannulation and a current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification. Demonstrates competency in CT, Ultrasound, MRI, NM (MPS), PET/CT, Fluoroscopy and Angiography.

Operational Knowledge

Strong understanding of clinical governance, quality improvement, workforce planning, and roster coordination.

Leadership & Education

A commitment to developing nursing capability through staff education, clinical guidance, onboarding, mentoring, and continuous professional development.

Core Competencies

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across multidisciplinary teams.

Desirable Qualifications

- Ultrasound-guided cannulation skills.
- Postgraduate qualification in Medical Imaging or a related clinical discipline.
