Partnerships and Engagement Officer

About the Role

Reports to the Group CEO and works collaboratively across all ASE teams to identify and establish current commercial partnership opportunities, manage existing relationships, engage stakeholders, and support the roll‑out of the Australian Government Digital Solutions Program.

Key Responsibilities

- Business Development

- Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities with corporates, government departments and education providers nationally.
- Develop and implement sales plans to hit revenue targets.
- Manage a pipeline and client relationships through the CRM.
- Write and lead business proposals with minimal supervision.
- Negotiate and close formal partnership agreements.
- Develop retention strategies for existing clients.

- Council & Stakeholder Engagement

- Build and grow a portfolio of Council partnerships across the state.
- Build tailored partnership solutions that respond to each Council's community needs.
- Represent ASE at industry events to build your network and pipeline.
- Maintain strong relationships with partners, clients, learners, government and other stakeholders.

- Reporting & Collaboration

- Research and stay informed on market and industry trends to inform ASE's growth strategy.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on lead‑generation campaigns and go‑to‑market plans.




- Report on pipeline, commercial performance and key priorities to the Group CEO.

Qualifications & Experience

- Proven business development or partnership experience.
- Track record of building relationships from scratch and converting them into long‑term partnerships.
- Confident bid and proposal writer, able to lead responses with minimal oversight.
- Strong negotiator, comfortable securing formal agreements.
- Excellent communication across all levels, from Council officers to executives.
- Self‑managed and organised; owns your own pipeline.
- Comfortable using CRM software (preferably Asana).
- Valid driver’s licence and willing to travel regularly across NSW for face‑to‑face meetings and events.

Salary

Salary range: $90,000 – $110,000 per annum inclusive of super and partnership bonus.
