Come on join us as we embark on the historic journey of building our very first manufacturing facility in the Southern Hemisphere! The plant is being built, project team in on board and we now need to start thinking about who can help us with our industrial engineering systems.

Based in Horsham, the role of Industrial IT Engineer, (IT Systems / MES / ERP), will be the key liaison between Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Corporate IT to ensure reliable, secure and efficient digital manufacturing systems that support production performance, traceability, and business reporting. You will be responsible for supporting, maintaining and improving Farm Frites Australia's industrial IT systems including Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) integration, plant automation interfaces, and operational technology (OT) infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities of this role include:

Maintain and support plant industrial IT systems including MES, SCADA, PLC interfaces and historian platforms

- Ensure high availability and reliability of manufacturing systems
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify improvements
- Troubleshoot production system issues in collaboration with operations and engineering teams
- Support commissioning of current production lines and equipment

MES (Manufacturing Execution System)

- Support implementation and ongoing management of MES systems
- Maintain production tracking, OEE, downtime, and performance reporting
- Ensure production data integrity and accuracy
- Configure MES workflows, recipes, and production parameters





ERP Integration

- Support integration between MES and ERP platforms
- Ensure production orders, inventory and traceability data flows correctly
- Assist with system enhancements and upgrades
- Support master data management in collaboration with Supply Chain and Finance

Operational Technology (OT) Infrastructure

- Maintain industrial network infrastructure including switches, servers and interfaces
- Work with Corporate IT on cybersecurity and network architecture
- Ensure system backup, disaster recovery and redundancy processes are in place
- Support OT cybersecurity standards and best practices

Project Management & Implementation

- Participate in capital projects involving automation and digital systems
- Support vendor selection and system design
- Coordinate system testing, commissioning and validation
- Develop documentation and training materials
- Identify opportunities to improve plant efficiency through digital solutions
- Support data analytics and reporting initiatives
- Assist in standardising systems across Farm Frites global operations
- Manage external system vendors and integrators
- Liaise with global IT and engineering teams
- Support end users and provide technical guidance

Safety & Compliance





- Comply with Farm Frites Australia WHS policies and procedures
- Participate in risk assessments for new systems
- Ensure industrial IT systems comply with food safety and traceability requirements
- Support cybersecurity and data protection standards

You will bring with you the following:

- Experience in industrial IT, automation, or manufacturing systems
- Experience with MES systems in manufacturing environments
- Understanding of ERP integration (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or similar)
- Experience working with PLC, SCADA or industrial control systems
- Knowledge of industrial networking
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with operations and engineering
- Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing

Experience in greenfield manufacturing projects

- Knowledge of OT cybersecurity standards
- Experience with data analytics and reporting platforms
- Experience working in global organisations

Qualifications required:

- Degree or Diploma in: Industrial IT, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Science (Industrial focus)
- Certifications in: Industrial networking, MES platforms, ERP systems, Cybersecurity

This role will be based at our brand-new state of the art Dooen facility. Occasional travel will be required, as is on call support during our commissioning phase and critical operations
