As aWellington Caves Complex Ground and BuildingMaintenance Officer, you'll play a hands‑on role in creating unforgettablevisitor experiences while protecting and enhancing one of the region's mosticonic tourism destinations.
Working part-time (20 hours per week across Friday toMonday), you'll enjoy three weekdays off every week perfect for maintaininglifestyle balance, study, or other commitments.
You will care for, maintain and improve the caves complex,grounds and facilities, making a visible difference to how visitors, familiesand the local community experience the site.
With a diverse mix of outdoor and practical work, you'lltake ownership of your impact, build valuable skills, and enjoy the support ofa close‑knit team all while maintaining a great work–life balance and stayingconnected to your local community.
Whether you're an experienced maintenance professional, ahands‑on all‑rounder, or someone with practical experience in areas such asgardening, cleaning or facility upkeep, this role offers the opportunity to putyour skills to good use in a unique outdoor environment.
You’ll work with a great team to:
- Create welcoming, high-quality spaces by maintaining the grounds, buildings and facilities so visitors enjoy a secure, memorable experience at the Wellington Caves Complex.
- Support Tourism operations and events,
with preparing venues and infrastructure that allow visitors to safely enjoy a unique natural attraction.
- Stay ahead of site needs, monitoring cleaning and maintenance consumables and proactively reporting requirements to keep operations running smoothly.
- Maintain essential visitor facilities, including the caravan park and swimming pool to ensure safe, reliable and enjoyable experiences for guests.
- Showcase and elevate the Wellington caves Complex, helping present the complex as a must visit destination and a point of pride for the region and community.
What you'll bring
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- Demonstrated relevant experience and job-related skillsincluding garden maintenance, janitorial duties and minor repairs
- Working knowledge in building maintenance, security andsafety/risk management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- General administrative skills demonstrating a competent level of literacy, numeracy and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work across core days of Friday, Saturday, Sundayand Monday.
We would also love you to have:
- Trade Certificate or relevant industry experience
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in the generaloperations of a Tourist Attraction and/or Caravan Park
- Previous experience in pool maintenance

This position offers an attractive annual salaryranging from $58,443 to $67,886 pro rata plus superannuation.
