Job Description

Subway Meats are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Butcher to join their team in Wingfield SA. The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

- Prepare meat for wholesale and retail sale using a wide variety of processes
- Removing bones, trimming fat and cutting, mincing and grinding meat to shape and size as ordered
- Prepare crumbed cuts of meat, and marinating, seasoning and curing special cuts
- Select and prepare meat to produce smallgoods
- Operate machines to grind, mix, mince and tenderise meat
- Make seasonings and pickles by mixing spices, salt and other ingredients
- Operate sausage filling machines, smoking chambers, and cooking kettles and vats

Skills and Abilities:

- Must have 3 years’ experience as a Butcher
- Certificate III in Meat Processing or related Qualification
- OH&S; awareness
- Food Handling and RSA certificates required
