The Opportunity
We're looking for a motivated, customer-focused IT Support Officer to provide onsite support across schools in Melbourne's North Western Suburbs. In this hand-on role you'll support students and staff, keeping day-to-day IT systems and infrastructure running smoothly.

About You
This role suits someone early in their IT career with solid fundamentals and a genuine interest in helping people. You'll bring:
- At least 1 year of IT support experience (helpdesk, field support, or similar)
- Good working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365
- Basic hardware troubleshooting skills — desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Completed or currently completing a Certificate III or IV in IT (or equivalent)
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain) and Police Check
Bonus Points For:
- Experience in a school or education environment
- Basic networking and wireless knowledge
- Familiarity with helpdesk or ticketing systems
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Level 1 support for hardware, software, and network issues
- Respond to helpdesk tickets and walk-up requests
- Set up and maintain student and staff devices
- Support AV systems (projectors, Vivi, classroom tech)
- Manage user accounts – password resets, access issues
- Perform routine maintenance, updates, and accurate documentation
- Assist with IT inventory and **escalate** complex issues when needed
- Support during exams and school events
