Internal Sales Representative - Industrial Distribution

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Internal Sales Representative to join our busy team in Dandenong.

This role is about much more than processing orders. You will be a trusted point of contact for our customers, delivering outstanding service, understanding their needs and providing timely, accurate and practical solutions that help keep their businesses operating efficiently.

Working closely with our external sales team, warehouse and suppliers, you will build strong customer relationships while identifying opportunities to add value through our products and services.

We recognise that great people come from a variety of backgrounds and life stages. While this is advertised as a full-time position, we are open to discussing a part-time arrangement with the right candidate who can meet the needs of the role.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to customer enquiries via phone and email.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through regular communication and professional support.
- Prepare accurate quotations and proactively follow up sales opportunities.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Assist customers with product selection, technical information and alternative product solutions when required.
- Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, product availability and delivery timeframes.
- Support the External Sales team with customer account management and sales activities.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse and operations teams to ensure orders are delivered accurately and on time.




- Maintain accurate customer records and sales information within the ERP system.
- Identify opportunities to grow existing customer accounts through proactive service and product recommendations.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience in an Internal Sales, Customer Service or Sales Support role.
- Experience within industrial distribution, bearings, power transmission, hydraulics, fasteners or a related industry will be highly regarded.
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service and building lasting customer relationships.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
- High attention to detail and strong administrative skills.
- Competent computer skills with experience using ERP systems preferred.
