Pro Health Care is seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic and supportive Salisbury team. The position is casual and working hours are expected to be around 15-20 hours per week with scope to grow in the future as the practice grows. Availability until 8:30pm and on both Saturdays and Sundays is also a must. Hours may vary depending on the availability of practitioners and other employees and ad hoc shifts may be available for planned and unplanned leave.

About Pro Health Care Salisbury

Our Salisbury practice has a long and well‑loved history in the northern community. The original clinic was established on Mawson Road. A major milestone came in 1994 when Northwest Medical Centre at 1 Park Terrace, Salisbury was opened - instantly recognisable in the community as the big pink building. The current site expanded the clinic’s capabilities, including the addition of a pharmacy on one side of the building and the inclusion of IMVS onsite.

In the early 2000s, the former pharmacy area was transformed into allied health consulting rooms, followed by major renovations that shaped the modern layout and functionality the practice is known for today.

The clinic joined the Pro Health Care network in October 2022 and had extensive renovations including updating the interior, increasing consulting capacity, enhancing security, and giving the building a contemporary new look while still honouring its place in the community’s history.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet and assist patients and practitioners with a warm and friendly demeanour.
- Manage patient appointments, maintain accurate records and process billings.
- Handle inquiries and provide information about our services.
- Support the administrative functions of the clinic and complete general housekeeping duties.
- Collaborate with and support a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a medical receptionist role or similar.
- Previous experience with Best Practice and PracSuite software (desired), along with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- The right to work in Australia (Visa sponsorship not available)
