About the role
The Workshop Technician supports the safe and effective operation of the School’s Design and Technology workshop. Working closely with Product Design Technology teachers, you will prepare materials and equipment for practical classes, maintain tools and machinery, manage workshop stock and contribute to a safe, organised learning environment for students.
What you’ll bring
Qualifications and demonstrated competence in operating wood and metal-cutting machinery.
Experience using workshop machinery, including bench saws and docking saws.
Welding, brazing,
grinding and general metalworking skills.
Experience preparing timber and maintaining hand and power tools.
Sound knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements and general workshop procedures.
A strong commitment to providing a safe working workplace for school-aged students.
A practical, organised and collaborative approach.
