Support the delivery of high-quality health education programs at one of Victoria's leading education providers. As a Health Programs Technician , you will play a critical role in ensuring our Health Programs have the equipment, resources, facilities and operational support needed for students and teachers to succeed. Working across a dynamic Faculty of Health, Community & Animals, you'll help maintain learning environments, coordinate resources and contribute to an exceptional student experience.
This is a casual opportunity. Salary is $43.25 per hour, plus 12% superannuation.

About the role
The Health Programs Technician provides technical, logistical and operational support across the Faculty of Health, Community & Animals. Based across Box Hill Institute campuses, this role is responsible for maintaining equipment, managing resources and consumables, supporting teaching activities, and ensuring facilities are safe, organised and ready for use.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys organisation, problem-solving and working collaboratively in a fast-paced education environment.
What you’ll do
- Maintain equipment,
resources and consumables used across Health Programs, including stock control and inventory management.
- Conduct stocktakes and monitor stock levels to ensure teaching activities are well supported.
- Obtain competitive quotes and support procurement activities for equipment, products and learning resources.
- Prepare facilities, equipment and materials for teaching sessions and commercial activities.
- Maintain accurate records relating to equipment, resources and maintenance schedules.
- Assist with simulation activities and other practical learning experiences.
- Contribute to workplace health and safety processes, documentation and reporting.
- Ensure facilities are clean, organised, safe and fit for purpose.
- Build positive relationships with students, teaching staff, industry partners and colleagues while delivering excellent customer service.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Qualifications & Requirements
- Relevant health or aged care qualification.
- Willingness to travel between Box Hill Institute campuses and other locations is required.
- Have, or be willing to obtain, Victorian Working with Children Check and National Police Check clearance.
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience working within hospital, dental and/or aged care environments
- Strong resource management skills, with the ability to maintain accurate inventories and records.
- Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to identify practical solutions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other workplace software systems.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with strong accountability and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
