Ashleigh Home Care is a newly established community care service supporting older people to remain living safely, independently and confidently in their own homes.
Backed by Ashleigh Community, a trusted local aged care provider with a long-standing reputation for quality care, we are seeking compassionate and experienced Personal Care Assistants to join our founding Home Care team.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing service from the beginning, helping shape the experience of both our clients and our team while making a genuine difference in the Gippsland community.
About the Role
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality care and support to clients in their homes, enabling them to maintain their independence, wellbeing and quality of life.
You will work autonomously while remaining connected to a supportive and approachable leadership team who value collaboration, communication and professional growth.
Duties may include:
- Personal care including showering, grooming and dressing assistance
- Medication prompting and monitoring
- Domestic assistance and light household duties
- Meal preparation and nutritional support
- Transport to appointments and community activities
- Shopping and social support
- Wellness checks and companionship
- Supporting clients to achieve their individual goals and maintain independence
Services are delivered throughout Sale and opportunities for surrounding Gippsland communities.
About You
You are someone who genuinely cares about people and takes pride in delivering respectful, person-centred support.
You will bring:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a Home Care or Community Care environment (Ideally 3+ years)
- Ability to work independently and confidently within clients' homes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A skilled, reliable and compassionate approach
- Commitment to client dignity, choice and independence
- Current Driver's Licence
- Reliable motor vehicle
- Current National Police Check
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
