Netwealth is on the lookout for a Finance Data and Reporting Specialist to oversee the management of financial data and reporting as the organization embarks on a significant system transition. This position operates under a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in the office for four days every fortnight.

What you'll do

- Conduct thorough reconciliation and validation of financial data across various domains, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and fund accounting.
- Identify and rectify any data discrepancies that may arise during the migration to the new system.
- Validate the outputs of reports and identify any inconsistencies that could affect financial decision-making.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by preparing test data and providing guidance to finance users throughout the process.
- Develop comprehensive documentation that outlines finance processes, data definitions, and the outcomes of workshops held during the project.
- Act as a liaison between the finance department and the technology project team to ensure alignment and clarity on project objectives.
- Assist in training finance staff on new systems and processes to enhance their understanding and operational efficiency.
- Monitor project timelines and deliverables, ensuring that all tasks are completed on schedule and to the required standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and feedback that can improve data management practices.

Requirements

- Proven experience in corporate or fund accounting environments, demonstrating a solid understanding of financial principles.
- Strong proficiency in finance data structures, along with a comprehensive understanding of reconciliation workflows.
- A background in supporting system implementations or transformation initiatives, showcasing your ability to adapt to new technologies.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate analytical findings in a clear and concise manner.
