We are recruitingPainting Apprentices on behalf of our members to join their growing teams.

Working alongsidequalified and skilled painters , you will gain valuable hands‑on experience, mentoring, and ongoing support throughout your apprenticeship.

About the Role

As a Painting Apprentice, your duties will include:

- Carrying out measurements and basic calculations
- Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
- Erecting and maintaining trestle and plank systems
- Handling painting and decorating materials
- Using painting and decorating tools and equipment
- Removing and replacing doors, windows, and components
- Preparing surfaces for painting
- Applying paint using brushes and rollers
- Applying textured coating finishes by brush, roller, and spray

Requirements

About You

The successful candidate will have:

- A genuine interest in undertaking aPainting Apprenticeship
- A White Card, or the ability to obtain one ASAP
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour
- A willingness to learn and work as part of a team
- A positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic




- The ability to follow instructions and take direction
- Trustworthiness and motivation

Preferred (but not essential):

- A current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Previous painting or construction‑related work experience an advantage
- Paid apprenticeship withon-the-job training
- Ongoing mentoring from experienced, qualified painters
- Nationally recognised qualification upon completion
- Opportunity to build long‑term career pathways in the industry

- Development of practical, in‑demand trade skills
- Job security in a growing industry

Eligibility Requirement:

To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship, you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold an eligible visa with approved working rights in Australia. Please note that not all visa subclasses with work rights are eligible for apprenticeship arrangements. To confirm your visa subclass and working rights in Australia, you should contact the Department of Home Affairs or check your details online via VEVO (Visa Entitlement Verification Online).
