Sale Motors Group Holdings Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join our agile automotive service team in Sale, VIC. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations within our service department. As a Service Advisor, you will be the vital link between our customers and our skilled technicians, managing service schedules, customer communications, and ensuring every vehicle receives the highest standard of care. This position is fundamental to maintaining customer satisfaction and driving the success of our service operations.

Key responsibilities

- Greeting customers and conducting thorough consultations to understand their vehicle service needs and concerns
- Writing accurate and detailed work orders, documenting customer requests and vehicle information
- Providing customers with service recommendations based on vehicle condition and manufacturer guidelines
- Scheduling vehicle service appointments and managing the service department calendar to optimise workflow
- Communicating with technicians regarding job progress and updating customers on service status
- Explaining service work, labour charges and parts costs to customers in a clear and professional manner
- Processing invoices, payments and managing customer accounts
- Maintaining service records and documentation in compliance with automotive industry standards
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals
- Assisting with follow-up calls to ensure customer satisfaction with completed services

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer-facing automotive role




- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repairs and general automotive terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers
- Proficiency with service management software and computer systems
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple customer enquiries simultaneously
- Exceptional organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Customer service orientation with a genuine commitment to exceeding expectations
- Professional appearance and demeanour
- Valid driver's licence
- Preferred: Experience in a dealership environment or knowledge of vehicle warranty processes
