About The Role
We have exciting casual opportunities for Spa Therapists who are passionate about delivering high-quality treatments through a nurturing, holistic and unique guest experience.
This seasonal position operates from September through to May and provides spa and relaxation services exclusively to guests participating in the Bay of Fires Walk near Ansons Bay on Tasmania’s north-east coast.
You will experience a genuine connection with nature while embracing a simple, off-grid lifestyle.
This Is a Hybrid Position, With Responsibilities Shared Between
- Delivering spa and relaxation treatments
- Supporting the Lodge Host
- Basic cleaning
- Baking
- Food preparation
You will mostly work independently, making this role ideal for someone who is self-motivated, resilient, autonomous and a confident communicator.
The roster involves spending five to six days onsite at a time, rotating between:
- Six days on and eight days off
- Five days on and nine days off
What You Will Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least one year of experience working as a Massage Therapist
- A flexible and adaptable approach
- A high level of professionalism and presentation
- Experience using online booking systems and schedules, with Fresha experience preferred
- Strong communication and rapport-building skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- The ability to work independently and comfortably in a remote location
- A self-motivated, reliable and resilient approach
- The ability to travel to and work in Ansons Bay
- An interest in off-grid infrastructure
- A commitment to maintaining the appearance and presentation of the spa
- A passion for the outdoors, wellbeing and wilderness experiences
Qualifications And Certifications
Applicants are expected to hold, maintain and renew:
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Beauty or Massage, or an equivalent qualification
- Provide First Aid, HLTAID011
- Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, HLTAID009
- Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety, SITXFSA005
