Positioned in the heart of iconic St Kilda, Novotel St Kilda is being reimagined as a vibrant lifestyle hotel, delivering elevated guest experiences through contemporary hospitality, dynamic Food & Beverage venues, and market-leading Conference & Events offerings.

Responsibilities include:

- Work with the kitchen team to coordinate the preparation and production of food as required.
- Prepare and present menu items with variety, creativity, and flair.
- Ensure strict stock rotation and minimise wastage by implementing and maintaining effective stock control procedures.
- Keep all working areas clean, organised, and tidy.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained, serviced, and cleaned.




- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of programs that uphold high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and related outlets.
- Assist with ordering food supplies in line with business needs and operational demands.

To be considered for this exciting position youmust possess:

- Experience as a Commis Chef within a fast-paced, dynamic workplace.
- A Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
- The ability to maintain high and consistent standards.
- The ability to perform well under pressure.
- Excellent organisational skills and professional grooming standards.
- A sound understanding of food safety standards and HACCP principles.
- A customer-focused approach with the ability to multitask.
- Availability to work a rotating roster, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
