Ashbury Air Conditioning – Coffs Harbour NSW

Ashbury Air Conditioning is seeking a full time Air Conditioning Technician to join our team in Coffs Harbour, NSW. This is a hands-on technical role that plays a crucial part in maintaining and installing air conditioning and refrigeration systems for our residential and commercial clients. As an Air Conditioning Technician, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional service to our customers, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction through expert system maintenance, repair, and installation. Your work will directly contribute to the reputation and growth of Ashbury Air Conditioning in the local community.

Key responsibilities

Install, service, and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems for residential and commercial clients

Diagnose system faults and malfunctions using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge

Perform routine maintenance tasks including filter replacement, refrigerant top-ups, and system inspections

Test and commission newly installed systems to ensure they operate safely and efficiently

Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance work completed

Provide customers with clear explanations of work completed and advice on system care and operation

Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including working with refrigerants in compliance with relevant legislation

Source and order parts and materials as required for jobs

Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.

What we're looking for

Current certification or qualifications in air conditioning and refrigeration (or equivalent vocational training)

Valid driver's licence and reliable transport

A sound understanding of air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including electrical components

Experience installing, servicing,



and repairing air conditioning units in domestic and commercial settings

Proficiency with diagnostic and testing equipment commonly used in the industry

Knowledge of refrigerant handling and compliance with Australian refrigerant regulations (such as Montreal Protocol requirements)

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work methodically through complex technical issues

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information in an accessible way

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Flexibility to undertake emergency call-outs when required

A commitment to health and safety practices and adherence to industry standards
