Female Disability Support Worker In Cobram, Numurkah and Surrounding area

Dayaram Care Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Disability Support Worker to join our team in Cobram, Numurkah and surrounding areas. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst making a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disabilities. You will provide essential support to individuals, helping them maintain independence, develop life skills, and participate in their communities. This role is fundamental to our mission of delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support services.

What you'll be doing

Providing personal care and assistance to service users with activities of daily living, including hygiene, grooming, dressing and mobility support

Supporting individuals to access community activities, social events and recreational opportunities

Assisting with meal preparation, shopping and household management tasks

Accompanying service users to medical appointments and supporting them during healthcare interactions

Developing and implementing individualised support plans in line with client goals and preferences

Maintaining detailed and accurate records of support provided and any changes in client needs

Communicating effectively with service users, families, colleagues and other professionals involved in client care

Promoting dignity, respect and inclusion for all individuals supported

Adhering to all health and safety protocols, safeguarding policies and relevant legislation

Contributing to a positive and supportive team environment

What we're looking for

A genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities and a commitment to person-centred care

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with service users





Physical capability to assist with personal care and mobility support as required

Reliability, punctuality and the ability to work flexibly within a casual framework

A valid Working with Children Check (WWC) or willingness to obtain one

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting service user privacy

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain it

Experience in disability support, aged care or similar caring roles (preferred)

Completion of disability support training or relevant qualifications (preferred)
