Reporting to the CFO & Company Secretary, the Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for the integrity of financial reporting, statutory compliance, treasury management and governance activities across the business.
This role is suited to a technically strong CA/CPA who enjoys financial reporting, compliance, audit management and supporting a growing ASX-listed organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Coordinate month-end and year-end reporting processes.
- Support Board and Executive reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with ASX reporting obligations and continuous disclosure requirements.
Taxation & Corporate Governance
- Manage GST, FBT, PAYG and income tax compliance.
- Coordinate annual tax reporting and lodgements.
- Support company secretarial responsibilities.
- Maintain financial controls, policies and governance processes.
- Ensure compliance across statutory and regulatory obligations.
Treasury & Cash Management
- Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning.
- Monitor banking facilities and debt arrangements.
- Support covenant reporting and treasury compliance.
- Assist with working capital management initiatives.
- Analyse harvest, inventory and biomass movements.
- Support inventory valuation and reporting processes.
- Work closely with operational teams to improve reporting accuracy and visibility.
- Provide insight into inventory performance and working capital management.
- Support reporting by site, business unit and cost centre.
Asset Management & Capital Projects
- Manage leased and owned asset accounting.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Conduct capital expenditure analysis, investment appraisals and ROI assessments.
- Assist with business case development and strategic investment decisions.
- Monitor capital project expenditure and reporting.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with the CFO and broader leadership team.
- Work collaboratively with operations, HR and corporate functions.
- Support business decision‑making through accurate financial information.
Skills & Experience
- CA or CPA qualified.
- Experience in Financial Accounting, Senior Financial Accounting or Finance Management roles.
- Strong statutory reporting and technical accounting capability.
- Experience managing audits and compliance obligations.
- Strong taxation and treasury knowledge.
- Exposure to inventory accounting and fixed assets.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Robust attention to detail and problem‑solving capability.
- Experience in ASX-listed environments.
- Manufacturing, agribusiness, food production or FMCG experience.
- Exposure to biological assets and inventory valuation.
- Experience working with ERP systems and reporting platforms.
