A well-known CBD meeting place, Grand Central Hotel is where city workers, locals and visitors come together for cold drinks, relaxed lunches and classic pub meals done right. Our kitchen serves lunch and dinner seven days a week, producing a menu built around Australian pub favourites alongside fresh seasonal dishes.

We are looking for a passionate and capableHead Chefto lead our kitchen team and help shape the venue’s food offering. This role will see you driving daily specials, seasonal promotions and function menus while maintaining the high standards our guests expect. Working closely with the Venue Manager and Head Office, you will play a key role in the continued growth and evolution of the venue’s food program.

About You

- Proven experienceas a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a busy venue
- Menu development skillswith a passion for quality pub food and seasonal ingredients
- Strong operational managementincluding food cost control, rostering, and kitchen efficiency
- Commitment to food safetyand maintaining high hygiene standards
- Leadership abilityto mentor and develop a motivated kitchen team
- Customer focused mindsetensuring consistent food quality and presentation
- Team builderwho creates a positive and collaborative kitchen culture
