About Us
The Bacena Group is a fast-growing private credit and property development business. Based in contemporary offices in Sydneys CBD. We’re now looking for a hands‑on Senior Accountant who wants to make an impact, take responsibility, and grow with the business.
What You’ll Do
- Day-to-day responsibility for the accounting and financial operations of the property business.
- Supporting general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end processes
- Overseeing AP/AR transactions and helping to manage cash flow
- Preparing NAV report, Expected Credit Loss Calculation and Cash Need Calculation.
- Preparing monthly and annual reporting including forecasting
- Understand GST Grouping, Tax Consolidation Group, Reduce Input Tax Credit and etc.
- Supporting private credit and property business by building and maintaining cost models
- Managing BAS, PAYG, tax, and regulatory filings
- Managing Company Secretary activities for the Group
- Implementing system upgrades and process improvements
- Documenting Finance procedures and controls
- Supporting engagement with external Auditors
- Other ad-hoc duties as and when required
What You’ll Bring
- Accounting qualification (CA/CPA preferred) or relevant degree with strong experience.
- Solid knowledge of financial operations and reporting
- Sharp attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
- Comfortable optimising and leveraging financial systems
- A proactive attitude – you’ll enjoy working both independently and as part of a team
Bonus Points For
- Experience working with Oracle Netsuite or equivalent accounting packages. Please advise in your cover letter if you have used Oracle Netsuite before.
- Background working in private credit accounting
- Experience working as an auditor in finance industry
- Familiarity with Company Secretary activities
- Exposure to system implementation or process improvement activities
