Be You Consultant - Early Childhood Mental Health
Are you ready to make a national impact on early childhood mental health and wellbeing?
About the role
We're seeking a dynamic and collaborative professional to join our national team as a Be You Consultant (Early Childhood)on a 12-month parental leave replacement contract. As a Consultant, you are the human face of Be You, Australia's national mental health in education initiative.
Working primarily online, you'll provide tailored support to early learning services, enable adaptation of the Be You framework to diverse contexts, and help our audience translate knowledge into practice. In doing so, you'll support early learning services across Australia to make positive, meaningful and sustainable change around mental health and wellbeing.
This is a fixed term position through September 2027 with flexible and hybrid working arrangements available. Applicants based in Canberra, Sydney, Adelaide or Darwin will also be considered.

About you
- Bachelor or postgraduate qualifications in early childhood education and/or mental health (such as psychology, social work or other related health profession)
- Knowledge and experience in child development and children' mental health, including understanding of contemporary issues in the early childhood, education and mental health sectors, and knowledge of how early learning and school age care services operate
- Experience in strengths-based facilitation, coaching, mentoring and/or session delivery to support practice change
- Confidence and competence using digital technologies to record and analyse data, manage workflows and stay connected with colleagues and users
- Commitment to equity and social justice, including principles of reconciliation, diversity and inclusion
- Manage a energetic and complex workload, that prioritises daily direct, individualised engagement and supports change.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
