As our business continues to expand, we are seeking a qualified Welder to join our skilled fabrication team and contribute to the delivery of premium HVAC products. KEY TASKS Interpret engineering drawings, fabrication plans, and technical specifications to prepare and weld customised HVAC ductwork and sheet metal components in accordance with project requirements. Determine appropriate welding techniques, materials, joint configurations, and fabrication sequences to ensure structural integrity, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with manufacturing specifications.

Perform MIG and TIG welding on galvanised steel, stainless steel, and other sheet metal materials used in the manufacture of rectangular, spiral, and oval HVAC duct systems. Fabricate, assemble, and weld sheet metal ductwork, fittings, supports, frames, and associated HVAC components. Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment, hand tools, and fabrication machinery to achieve accurate welds while ensuring safe and efficient production.

Inspect weld preparations, fit-up, alignment, and completed welds to verify compliance with engineering drawings, quality standards, and Australian manufacturing requirements. Finish welded assemblies by grinding, dressing, deburring, and polishing welds to achieve the required surface quality, dimensional tolerances, and presentation standards.



Collaborate with fabrication and production teams to resolve welding and fabrication issues, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and within scheduled production timelines.

Conduct routine quality inspections and identify defects or non-conformances, carrying out repairs or rework where necessary to maintain MEGA HVAC's high manufacturing standards. Follow workplace health and safety (WHS) procedures and maintain a clean, organised work area.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE A minimum of 3 years of full-time relevant experience in welding and metal fabrication, preferably within the HVAC or related industry.

At least an AQF Certificate III in Fabrication Trade, Welding, or a relevant trade qualification. Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques, with the ability to produce accurate, high-quality welds on sheet metal components. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication blueprints, and technical specifications.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship. Well-developed problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing. Fluent in English and Vietnamese. NOTES Available for face-to-face interview in Oakleigh, VIC 3166.
