Draper's Civil Contracting is seeking an experienced Tilt Tray Driver to join our team in Breakwater, Victoria. This is a full-time position that will involve operating a tilt tray truck to transport equipment and materials to and from various construction sites within the Geelong region.
What you'll be doing
- Safely operate a tilt tray truck to load, transport and unload equipment, machinery and materials
- Carry out pre-start checks and routine maintenance on the tilt tray truck from our yard in Breakwater
- Ensure all loads are securely fastened and comply with relevant safety regulations
- Maintain accurate records of jobs completed and hours worked
- Communicate effectively with the wider construction team to coordinate deliveries
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety standards
What we're looking for
- A valid Heavy Vehicle licence with the appropriate endorsements to operate a tilt tray truck
- Advantage to have at least 2 years' experience working as a Tilt Tray Driver in the construction industry
- Training will be provided to suitable candidates who demonstrate potential and commitment to learn tilt tray operations
- Knowledge of load restraint and safe towing practices
- Excellent driving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Positive communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
