Overview
Ability Action Australia are one of the largest providers to the NDIS, supporting over 10,000 participants every year with the care they need, when and where it is needed. #AAA have a multi-disciplinary team approach, building a quality support service around the needs and goals of our participants and their family.
We are expanding our team in Sydney and would love to welcome a passionate and dedicated independent Occupational Therapist Contractor to join us in making a positive impact in our community.
We are open to applications from Occupational Therapists across Sydney with experience working with NDIS participants.
Responsibilities
- Assessing participants emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental and physical level of function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments.
- Interpreting findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant.
- Provide therapeutic interventions that are evidence-based.
- Provide support and advice on adaptations to the environment including home, school, work and residential facilities.
- Recommend provision of Assistive Technology to assist participants with their functional limitations and promote independence.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working with NDIS participants.
- Relevant insurance including Public Liability, Professional Indemnity,
and Comprehensive Car Insurance.
- Police clearance, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Active ABN.
