Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Visiting Medical Officer to join our Mental Health Services team. We are looking for a Visiting Medical Officer in Emergency Psychiatry! The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in psychiatry, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Mental Health Service and Hospital as required. The Visiting Medical Officer in Emergency Psychiatry at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital will work as one of several psychiatrists within an acute inpatient mental health service based at Professor Marie Bashir, providing direct care and clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary mental health team. The Visiting Medical Officer will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic setting which supports education, research and professional development.
Qualifications
Medical practitioner, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Applicants must have Fellowship of the Royal Australian New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) and/or other equivalent specialist recognition. Positions are currently available. In addition, applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within six months from date of application may be considered.
Salary and Conditions
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Public Hospitals Visiting Medical Officer Determination.
