About the role

The Clinical Nurse Educator provides clinical education, support,



and guidance to nursing staff across CaFHS, promoting professional development and quality care outcomes. The role involves developing and facilitating education programs, supporting less experienced staff, and maintaining clinical practice standards through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The Clinical Nurse Educator works in partnership with women, children, families, and healthcare professionals to enhance learning opportunities and achieve optimal health outcomes.

Key duties of the role

- The Clinical Nurse Educator provides clinical education, orientation, and professional development support to nursing staff while promoting a learning culture across CaFHS.
- Monitoring patient/consumer care plans to ensure appropriate care outcomes are achieved on a daily basis;
- Required to contribute to a wider or external team working on complex or organisation wide projects such as clinical protocols, guidelines and/or process mapping.
- Provides clinical leadership, supports quality and safe care delivery, promotes teamwork and learning, and contributes to service improvement across CaFHS.
- Promote continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with the Regional Team Manager or equivalent of the ward/unit/service





Skills and Experience

- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Minimum 3 years post-graduation nursing experience
- Demonstrated competence in relevant area of nursing practice
- Experience in clinical education and supervision of staff/studentsKnowledge of contemporary nursing practice, legislation and quality improvement systems
