An exciting opportunity has opened for a hands‑on HVAC / Mechanical Project Manager to steer the end‑to‑end delivery of commercial air conditioning projects right across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. For more than two decades, Ascot Air has built its reputation on getting complex mechanical works right the first time from hospitality fit‑outs and retail centres to corporate towers and university campuses.

In this role you'll be the driving force behind each project, partnering with our engineers, site crews and clients to bring jobs in safely, on program, within budget and finished to a standard we're proud to put our name to.

What You'll Be Doing

- Taking full ownership of commercial HVAC projects from award through to handover
- Setting and tracking project programs, budgets and cash flow to keep jobs on target
- Interpreting mechanical and construction drawings, specs and scopes of work
- Organising subcontractors, suppliers, labour and plant so site never stalls
- Getting out on site regularly to check progress, quality, safety and finish




- Being the key point of contact for clients, subbies and other stakeholders
- Identifying and managing variations, and finding smart value‑engineering wins
- Keeping safety front of mind and upholding our WH&S; standards on every job
- Helping the wider team deliver commercial HVAC works right across SEQ

Your Skills & Experience

- A solid track record delivering commercial HVAC / mechanical services projects
- Sound knowledge of how mechanical services are installed and built on site
- Confidence reading mechanical drawings, specifications and project programs
- Experience running subcontractors, budgets and timelines end‑to‑end
- Strong commercial nous and a positive grasp of the relevant AS/NZ Standards
- A can‑do attitude backed by clear communication and genuine leadership
- Comfortable dealing with clients, contractors and stakeholders at any level
- Ideally 5+ years' experience in the commercial HVAC space
- A current driver's licence (essential)
- Full working rights in Australia (essential)
