Some contract roles are about filling a gap. Others are about joining a team you'd genuinely want to work with. We're partnering with a well-established Brisbane organisation seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their team on an eight‑month maternity leave contract. This is a role that offers variety, meaningful work and the opportunity to contribute across a range of people initiatives, projects and operational HR activities. More importantly, it's an prospect to join a team that values collaboration, strong relationships and supporting one another to deliver great outcomes. The team are looking for someone who enjoys partnering with people, takes a practical approach to problem solving and understands that building trust and influencing change often comes down to patience, credibility and strong relationships.

Opportunity

Working closely with the HR team, you'll play a key role in supporting a range of people initiatives and day-to-day operations across the business, including:

- Recruitment and onboarding
- Payroll preparation and coordination
- Performance review and KPI processes
- HR administration and reporting
- Policy and procedure reviews
- Learning and development initiatives
- Employee engagement activities
- Process improvement projects
- General HR advisory support

You'll also have the chance to contribute to several projects already underway,



with scope to build on your existing strengths and gain exposure to new areas of HR.

About You

You will be someone who enjoys working in a relationship-driven environment and brings a balanced mix of technical HR capability and strong interpersonal skills.

You'll likely bring

- Experience operating at HR Advisor level
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building skills
- A collaborative and team‑oriented approach
- High levels of emotional intelligence and adaptability
- Solid organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to manage competing priorities and changing demands
- A genuine interest in continuous improvement and finding better ways of working

Experience with SAP or a similar HRIS platform and payroll process will be highly regarded, though not essential.
