About the Role
Join Pace Farm as a Maintenance Fitter and play a vital role in keeping our farming operations running at their best. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you’ll be based at our Kinglake West site (1 hour out of the northern suburbs of Melbourne), you'll work Monday to Friday in a hands-on role maintaining and repairing plant and equipment across our farming operations. You'll helpminimise downtime, drive preventative maintenance initiatives and support safe, efficient operations, making a real impact every day while working as part of a cooperative and supportive team.
What you’ll do
- Performingpreventative and reactive maintenanceon plant and equipment
- Attending breakdowns, troubleshooting faults, and returning machinery to service quickly
- Conductingroot cause analysisto prevent recurring equipment issues
- Maintaining and repairing conveyors, compressors, pumps, refrigeration and processing equipment
- Working withhydraulics, pneumatics, and automated systems
- Maintaining spare parts inventory and supporting cost control
- Participating in production, safety, and reliability meetings
- Ensuring compliance withsafety procedures, HACCP, GMP and quality standards
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records, manuals, and documentation
- Building strong working relationships with internal teams, contractors and suppliers
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to team development

What We’re Looking For
- Experience inindustrial, manufacturing or food processing environments
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience with plant equipment such as conveyors, pumps, compressors, gearmotors and refrigeration systems
- Knowledge ofmaintenance planning and continuous improvement practices
- Experience working withHACCP, GMP or quality systems(highly regarded)
- Welding experience (MIG/TIG/ARC) is advantageous
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Commitment to workplace health, safety, and compliance
