Due to an internalpromotion,MatchWorks is looking for a passionate Mental Health Employment Coach (Individual Placement & Support Consultant) to help people living with mental health challenges achieve their employment goals.

You'll work within a community mental health clinic alongside clinicians and health professionals, delivering employment support that forms part of each participant's recovery journey as part of our Individual Placement & Support (IPS) program.

Unlike traditional employment services roles, you'll manage a smaller, more intensive caseload and provide end-to-end support, from job search through to ongoing employment. Working alongside clinicians and health professionals, you'll build meaningful relationships and see the direct impact your work has on participants' wellbeing, recovery and long-term success.

What you'll do

Asan Mental Health Employment Coach in our team,you'll:





Work alongside clinicians and mental health professionals to support participants on their journey toward meaningful employment.

Build trusted relationships with participants, helping themidentifygoals, overcomebarriersand celebrate success along the way.

Providepersonalisedemployment support, from job search and employer engagement through to workplace support once employment is secured.

Contribute to recovery-focused planning as part of a multidisciplinary team within a community mental health clinic.

Connect with employers, communityservicesand support networks to create opportunities and positive outcomes for participants.

Whatyou'llbring

Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage a diverse range of people.

A genuine interest in mental health and helping people achieve meaningful employment outcomes.

The ability to work independently while building strong partnerships with clinicians,participantsand community stakeholders.

Empathy,resilienceand a person-centred,strengths-based approach to supporting others.

Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and documentation requirements.

Experience in employment services, disability employment, employer engagement, mentalhealthor community services.





Experience supporting people experiencing mental health challenges or working alongside clinical teams.

Ongoing or completed studies in Psychology, Counselling, SocialWorkor a related field.
