Senior Bookkeeper/ Finance Officer (Manufacturing)

About the Role
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys taking ownership, maintaining accuracy and being a trusted member of a busy finance team.
Working closely with the CFO, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations across multiple business entities, ensuring financial information is accurate, compliant and delivered on time.
This is far more than a traditional bookkeeping role. It offers genuine variety across reconciliations, reporting, compliance, inventory processing and financial administration, making it ideal for someone who enjoys understanding how the numbers support business performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Process and maintain financial transactions across multiple business entities
- Prepare bank, general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Complete BAS, GST, PAYG and other statutory compliance requirements
- Assist with month-end and end-of-year financial reporting
- Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for management
- Process journals, accruals and general ledger adjustments
- Support budgeting and cash flow reporting activities
- Maintain accurate inventory and stock-related financial records
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors as required
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and efficiencies
- Provide general finance administration support across the business
About You
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with numbers and takes pride in delivering accurate, reliable financial information.
Ideally you will possess:
- Demonstrated experience in a Senior Bookkeeping, Finance Officer or Assistant Accountant role (Ideally 5yrs+)
- Strong understanding of multi-entity bookkeeping and financial processes
- Experience preparing BAS, GST, PAYG and statutory reporting
- Excellent reconciliation and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience using MYOB Acumatica
- Positive, proactive and team-focused approach
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong internal relationships
Highly Regarded
- Experience within manufacturing, wholesale or distribution environments
- Exposure to inventory accounting or stock management
- Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualifications
