We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist (Graduate or with experience) to join our team at Smile Line Dental in Caroline Springs on a part-time basis .

Preferred availability (negotiable):

Thursday 09:00-17:00

Friday 09:00-17:00 (good clinical day taking over books)

Alternating Saturday 09:00-13:00

Pay: 40% commission arrangement

Optional: Retainer minimum or hourly rate (negotiated)

The benefit of walking into partial books from a senior dentist going on 2-year parental leave. The role is permanent and not simply a leave-replacement role.

You are expected to be able to work independently for at least 1-2 days.

What we offer

Our senior dentists (previous-Melbourne demonstrator and La Trobe university demonstrator) have special interests and can assist the successful applicant with advice in:

Endodontics (decades of experience and use to work with an Endodontist)

Implant placement, simple bone grafting and implant restoration

Surgical third molar (wisdom) teeth extractions (over 95%+ of impacted wisdom extractions are safely performed in-house)

Fixed prosthodontics including crowns, bridges and cosmetic veneers

*Note that this is not an internship or mentorship program. There is no set-course work. However, the dentists are very happy to demonstrate, oversee or provide clinical advice on procedures and cases.

Multiple chairs available and can expand to full time should the dentist wish

Trios digital scanner, traditional PVS impressions, in-house digital xray including OPG, rotary endodontics, intra-oral cameras, comfortable and high-end dental chairs, clean modern facility





Key responsibilities

Conducting comprehensive dental examinations and diagnoses using clinical expertise and diagnostic tools

Providing a full range of general dental treatments including restorative, preventative and cosmetic procedures

Developing individualised treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings

Communicating clearly with patients about their oral health status, treatment options and associated costs

Maintaining accurate and detailed clinical records in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements

Adhering to strict infection control protocols and maintaining a safe clinical environment

Collaborating effectively with dental hygienists, therapists and reception staff to ensure seamless patient care

Staying current with developments in dental practice and engaging in continuing professional development

Contributing to a positive team culture and supporting colleagues in delivering excellent patient outcomes

What we're looking for

Current registration with the Dental Board of Australia and a valid Australian Dental practitioner's licence

Professional attitude with a strong work ethic and reliability

Strong clinical skills with the ability to deliver safe, evidence-based dental care

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine commitment to patient care

Knowledge of current infection control standards and workplace health and safety obligations

Willingness to engage in continuing career development and expand your clinical skillset
