Southern Cross Industrial Group in seeking a multi-skilled TA to support the various mechanical and assembly activities within a mining services focused workshop. This role will offer diversity while performing maintenance and fabricating activities on various mining ancillary equipment, while contributing to the outcomes required in set team goals and production schedules.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Execute light to medium fabrication, maintenance and welding tasks
Assembly and fitment of OEM parts to various ancillary equipment as part of the manufacturing process
Assisting tradesmen in general mechanical repairs and services
Preparing various equipment for service activities including wash-down and final assessment completion
Skills & Qualifications
Experience using welders, power tools and hand tools in Mechanical workshop environment
Proven fabrication and welding experience – body work experience would be highly regarded
Physically capable, ability to work in a manual environment including lifting
Willingness to learn or experienced in Hydraulic hose fitting would be advantageous
High awareness of OHS practices and a commitment to safety
High attention to detail and a commitment to quality and high work standard
The ability to work independently when required and a proactive attitude to your work
Ability to work in a team collaboratively
Effective time management capability to meet production deadlines
Be able to pass a pre-employment medical test
Forklift and Overhead Crane licence required.
