National Imaging Facility (NIF) Full-time (100%), fixed term position through to October 2028 with salary in the range of $85,451 to $94,983 (HEW 5) plus 17% super. Based at our picturesque and conveniently located St Lucia campus.
About This Opportunity
Join the NIF, Australia’s advanced imaging network, and play a pivotal role in supporting a nationally significant research infrastructure that enables health, medical and scientific discovery across the country. Working within a small, highly collaborative team, you will provide high quality administrative support to the NIF central team, helping to coordinate operations, stakeholder engagement, projects, events and executive activities. This is a varied and purposeful opportunity for an organised professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and contributing to meaningful outcomes within a dynamic national environment.
Key responsibilities
- Providing high level administrative support to the NIF Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Central team, while managing competing priorities and requests.
- Coordinating meetings, committees, workshops, conferences and events, including scheduling, documentation, minutes, communications and attendee management.
- Managing a broad range of administrative functions, including enquiries, travel arrangements, purchasing activities, correspondence, financial administration and record keeping.
- Building productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders across NIF’s national partner network and supporting onboarding activities.
- Maintaining administrative systems, processes and documentation to support effective and efficient operations across the organisation.
About You
You are an organised, proactive and solutions focused professional who thrives in a cooperative environment and enjoys supporting people, projects and operations. You bring strong administrative expertise, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional service.
- Completion of a degree, diploma with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and administrative experience.
- Demonstrated experience providing high quality administrative support,
with excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and exercise sound judgement in a fast paced environment.
- Proven ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and administrative processes, while demonstrating initiative, adaptability and problem solving capability.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, together with experience in financial administration activities and the ability to quickly learn enterprise systems and platforms.
