Therapy 4 Life

City of Kingston

Clinic, community and nature-based therapy | Melbourne

Are you an OT who wants the freedom to provide thoughtful, creative and genuinely child-centred therapy, without the pressure of KPIs?

Therapy4Life is looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Pediatric OT to join our supportive team. This is a unique opportunity to work across our Mordialloc clinic, Somerville therapy farm and local community settings while developing a caseload that reflects your interests and strengths.

About the Role

You will support children, adolescents and adults.

Therapy sessions may address:

- Sensory processing and regulation

- Emotional regulation and wellbeing

- Fine and gross motor development

- Attention, confidence and participation

- Social engagement and relationships

- Feeding and mealtime participation

- Self-care and daily living skills

- Routines and independence

- Kinder and school readiness

- Community access and functional life skills

Our OTs use child-centred, neuro-affirming, trauma‑aware and strengths‑based approaches. Sessions are practical, engaging and purposeful, with therapy carefully adapted to each child’s developmental stage, interests, goals and support needs.

We place a strong emphasis on helping children transfer their skills into everyday life at home, kinder, school and in the community. Families are supported throughout the therapy process with education, practical strategies and recommendations that can be implemented beyond the therapy session.

About Therapy4Life

Therapy4Life provides OT, Therapy Assistant support and equine‑assisted and nature‑based programs for children, adolescents and adults across Melbourne.

Our Mordialloc clinic includes vibrant sensory rooms, interactive projection systems and therapy spaces designed to support emotional regulation, motor development and meaningful engagement,

with beautiful beach views from every room.

Our private Somerville therapy farm provides a calm and nature‑rich environment with sensory gardens, water play, messy play, a giant swing and a diverse group of therapy animals. Sessions may incorporate animal care, equine‑assisted activities, nature‑based play and outdoor functional skill development.

We also provide mobile therapy across Kingston, Bayside, the Mornington Peninsula and surrounding areas, offering a varied combination of clinic, community and nature‑based practice.

What You’ll Have the Opportunity to Do

- Provide evidence‑informed and neuro‑affirming OT

- Design creative and meaningful individual therapy programs

- Co‑design and facilitate small therapy groups

- Support sensory processing, emotional regulation, functional skills and participation

- Work collaboratively with families, educators and other members of a child’s support network

- Deliver therapy across clinic, community and farm environments

- Participate in reflective practice, supervision and team learning

- Contribute your ideas, interests and clinical strengths to the continued development of our services

Why Join Therapy4Life?

- No KPIs

- Above‑award remuneration

- Accrued RDOs

- Flexible days, hours and work locations

- Structured and comprehensive in‑house supervision

- A strong professional development program

- Supportive and experienced OTs who genuinely enjoy learning together

- Regular opportunities for team reflection and collaboration

- Solid administrative and Therapy Assistant support

- Access to NDIS guidance from our knowledgeable administration team

- An extensive library of assessments, templates and therapy resources

- Employee Assistance Program access

- Regular team social activities

- A relaxed, caring and inclusive workplace

- The opportunity to work with therapy animals at the farm and enjoy beach views from our Mordialloc clinic

We value work‑life balance and want our OTs to have the time, support and flexibility required to provide high‑quality therapy without feeling rushed or measured by unrealistic productivity targets.

About You

You will need:

- A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy

- Current AHPRA registration, or eligibility to obtain registration

- A current Working with Children Check

- A valid driver’s license

- Access to a reliable vehicle

You may be a good fit for our team if you are:

- Compassionate, reflective and relationship‑focused

- Committed to neuro‑affirming and strengths‑based practice

- Passionate about supporting children and families

- Interested in sensory regulation, emotional wellbeing and meaningful participation

- Creative, curious and open to learning

- Comfortable working outdoors and around animals

- A collaborative team member who values communication and shared growth

Experience in pediatric OT is welcomed, although we also encourage applications from early‑career and developing OTs who are eager to learn and would benefit from comprehensive supervision and support.

Training or experience in equine‑assisted or nature‑based therapy would be considered a valuable bonus; however, the primary focus of the position remains pediatric OT.
