The Role

As a Maintenance & Grounds Attendant at Onsen, you play a vital role in preserving the quality, safety, and presentation of our wellness sanctuary. From beautifully maintained gardens to the smooth operation of our facilities, you will ensure every space reflects the premium standards our members expect. This role operates on a rotating roster, with weekend and public holiday work required to support the operation of our wellness facilities.

In this role, you will:

- Maintain the presentation of all indoor and outdoor areas, including gardens, pathways, landscaping, and wellness spaces.
- Perform general maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance across the facility.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and carry out minor repairs and preventative maintenance on gym and wellness equipment, escalating major repairs to external service providers where required.




- Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues before they impact the member experience.
- Assist with the upkeep of our premium wellness facilities, including traditional onsen baths, saunas, cold plunges, and surrounding amenities.
- Safely operate and maintain gardening and maintenance equipment while following all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure the facility remains in exceptional condition.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report any safety hazards or equipment faults in a timely manner.

Talent Profile

- Previous experience in building maintenance, landscaping, gardening, facilities management, or a similar role.
- Experience maintaining or repairing commercial gym equipment is highly regarded.
- General knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical fault finding, and minor repairs.
- Pride in maintaining high presentation standards with strong attention to detail.
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Physically fit and comfortable performing manual work indoors and outdoors.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
- Valid Australian working rights.
- A current driver's licence is desirable.
