About the Role

We are currently seeking Spray Painters / Blasters for work on ship and submarine structures. These roles will see you working across a variety of marine environments, completing surface preparation, abrasive blasting, and industrial coating applications to strict quality standards.

This position is suited to Painter/Blasters with 3 years experience in painting within the defence industry

What You Will Be Doing

- Spray painting using products such as epoxies, enamels, acrylics and primers
- Surface preparation including mechanical prep and feathering
- Abrasive blasting in facilities, confined spaces, and elevated platforms
- Operating high-pressure and low-pressure water blasting equipment




- Applying coatings to specified thickness using wet and dry film gauges
- Cleaning and maintaining spray equipment (guns, pumps, pots)
- Completing touch-ups and finishing work across ship compartments
- Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Conducting basic quality checks and rectifying defects
- Installing containment and maintaining a clean work environment

What You Will Need

- Previous experience in spray painting and/or abrasive blasting (marine experience highly regarded)
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
- Whitecard
- Must be Australian Citizen due to it being defence work
