We are seeking experienced and reliable MR General Truck Drivers to join our Road Construction team in Tamworth, supporting the delivery of essential road maintenance and construction projects across the New England district.

In this role, you'll:

- Operate Light and Medium Rigid vehicles (with a GVM of greater than 4.5 tonnes) as an MR Truck Driver for the Maintenance & Delivery team
- Tow any trailers that their vehicle is rated to tow
- Carry out general road worker labouring duties of a Road Worker Grade 3 when not operating the truck
- In addition to the above, the trucks operated by this position may include water tankers.
- Work collaboratively with the team including Team Leaders and Works Supervisors to manage the day-to-day operations and tasks as well as resolve issues that may arise
- Keep up to date with WHS legislation and policies and procedures as it relates to minimising risk and keeping to safe work standards
- Work a 9 Day Fortnight

About you





We are looking for experienced Truck Drivers who has the capability to work under limited supervision and has experience in maintaining a safe and injury free workplace for all employees while operating in a high speed, high traffic volume setting.

Essential Licenses and Tickets:

- Current Construction Industry White Card
- Willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements as directed

Labouring experience in a construction or civil environment and experience and understanding of local road networks across the district.

We take WH&S; and the management of fatigue of our employees seriously. Therefore, to be successful in this role it is a requirement that you must reside within a 100km radius of theTamworth works depot.
