FT Registered Nurse - Scrub Scout - Neurosurgery

Job Description

With a dynamic and supportive unit manager, we are seeking dynamic and clinically experienced nurses who are passionate about patient care to join and support the Neurosurgery team on a full-time basis. To succeed in this role, you will be an experienced scrub/scout nurse with previous experience across all areas of Neurosurgery. You will bring a strong clinical skill set and have an interest in mentoring staff. As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

- Deliver evidence based nursing care
- Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
- Experience in Neurosurgery Theatre
- Ensure patient and staff safety
- Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to deliver patient care
- Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, etc.

- Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- 3 years minimum relevant experience in Neurosurgery Theatre
- Clinical leadership ( Acting ) will be highly regarded.
- Relevant post‑graduate speciality qualifications
- The desire and ability to mentor staff and the ability to work within a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and advanced interpersonal skills.
- Highly developed organisational and time management skills.
