Connect People has an opportunity available for an experienced Rigger for an upcoming opportunity based in the South East area of Melbourne.

Our client is delivering major civil infrastructure works and is looking for a skilled Rigger to join their team. This role will involve safely lifting, moving and positioning large materials including pipes and concrete culverts across yard and site environments.

- Dayshift Mon-Fri, 7am starts
- Variety of lifting and rigging activities across yard and site environments

What you'll be doing:

- Safely rigging loads using chains, straps and lifting equipment
- Preparing pipes, concrete culverts and other materials for lifting
- Assisting with loading and unloading materials in the yard and on site
- Working alongside crane operators to ensure safe and efficient lifts




- Directing and communicating with crane operators during lifting operations
- Inspecting lifting gear and ensuring equipment is used correctly
- Following all site safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment

What you need:

- Intermediate or Advanced Rigging Ticket (essential)
- Proven experience working as a Rigger in civil construction, infrastructure or similar environments
- Experience with heavy lifts and oversized materials preferred
- Strong understanding of lifting practices, safety procedures and rigging techniques
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Full Australian working rights
