We’re looking for an entry-intermediate level AIX Systems Administrator to join our Brisbane Qld team and responsible for providing day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support to our MSP clients ensuring stability, performance, security and AIX best practice . You will work within a team of other experienced Linux/UNIX/AIX Administrators and will have cross-team technical interactions.

Key responsibilities

- Administer and monitor AIX servers, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
- Implement and maintain robust security measures, including user access controls, patch management, and compliance with industry standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and maintain high-availability solutions
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all AIX-related processes and procedures
- Provide on-call support and incident response, ensuring the timely resolution of issues
- Continuously research and implement recent technologies and best practices to enhance the efficiency and reliability of clients AIX environments.

What we're looking for

- Industry experience - minimum 3 years in administering and managing AIX servers in a complex, enterprise-level environment
- Proficiency in shell scripting, automation tools,



and performance monitoring utilities
- Strong understanding of AIX system architecture, clustering, and high-availability technologies
- Hands-on experience with AIX system management, including capacity planning, backup and recovery, and security hardening
- Experience with IBM Spectrum Protect
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ambitious individual who can work autonomously and completing agreed KPI's
- Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management

AIX Certifications highly regarded

- Power Systems for AIX I: LPAR Configuration and Planning
- Mastering IBM AIX: Implementation and Administration
