VPP Specialist – Commercial Solar (White Label / EMS / Arbitrage + FCAS)

We are looking for an experienced VPP and Commercial Solar specialist to join our team and drive the next phase of our Virtual Power Plant and commercial solar development strategy in Australia.

You will play a key role in delivering high-value pre-assessments, technical due diligence, and commercial optimisation for commercial & industrial (C&I;) solar + storage projects participating in VPP programs. Our compliance and AEMO registration pathways are already secured — we need your deep operational and market expertise to accelerate delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead commercial solar pre-assessments and VPP feasibility studies for C&I; clients.
- Design and implement white-label VPP solutions for partners and clients.
- Integrate and optimise third-party Energy Management Systems (EMS) and VPP platforms.
- Develop and execute energy arbitrage and FCAS (Frequency Control Ancillary Services) strategies to maximise project revenue.
- Provide expert advice on VPP program participation, including market rules, optimisation logic, and performance monitoring.
- Support project origination, technical due diligence, and client-facing delivery.
- Stay ahead of AEMO, ARENA, and state-based VPP developments and incentive schemes.

About You





You are a hands‑on expert in the Australian energy market with proven experience in one or more of the following:

- Solid background in Virtual Power Plants (VPP) and/or Commercial & Industrial Solar + Storage.
- Practical experience with third-party EMS platforms and VPP software/integration.
- Demonstrated knowledge of energy arbitrage and FCAS markets.
- Experience implementing or supporting white‑label VPP solutions for aggregators or developers.

Highly Regarded

- Previous work with AEMO registration processes, VPP program operators, or major retailers.
- Technical understanding of solar + BESS systems, site assessment, grid connection, and performance modelling.
- Commercial acumen — ability to translate technical capability into client value and revenue optimisation.
